Quality Assurance Manager
Carol began her career in nursing before joining the Yorkshire Cancer Research Network in 2003 and working in a number of different roles including Clinical Trials Coordinator, Improvement and Development Manager and Acting Network Manager. Carol worked closely with colleagues in stroke and primary care research networks and took the lead on a number of cross network projects including patient and public involvement and the development of tools to help staff assess capacity and complexity of new studies.
More recently Carol has worked as a Quality Improvement Practitioner for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, prior to starting her post as Quality Assurance Manager in the Leeds CRF.
Carol has a BSc in Nursing Practice and an MSc in Health and Social Care Management. Her role at the CRF will be to work with QA colleagues to manage an effective quality system which is standardised across all spokes of the CRF to ensure compliance with the relevant organisational standards and UK regulatory and governance requirements relating to clinical research.
