Chapel Allerton CRF (CAH CRF)

Our newest CRF (opened 2022) supports clinical and translational research at Chapel Allerton Hospital including musculoskeletal and dermatology research. The dedicated CAH CRF has access to outpatient departments, radiology and pharmacy. The CRF is co-located with

•             The NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre (BRC): with access to a muscle laboratory/biopsy room and  State-of-the-art motion gait analysis laboratory, 3T MRI scanner, 2 Ultrasonography suites.

•             The EULAR Centre of Excellence in Rheumatology .

•             NIHR Leeds BRC Imaging Centre: 3.0 Tesla MRI, 4D ultrasound with image processing facilities.

•             Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (iMBE; Class 2 ISO9001 accredited laboratory).

•             Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine (LIRMM): HTA  licensed sample repository, sample preparation area and a tissue culture laboratory.

Onsite Clinical Resources:

•             Clinical Treatment Bay: Four treatment beds/chairs, including 1 dental chair.

•             Administrative office.

•             Reception/waiting area.
