John Greenwood

Cardiology Speciality Clinical Lead

John Greenwood is Professor of Cardiology in the Leeds Institute for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine (LICAMM) at the University of Leeds and a Consultant Cardiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where he specialises in coronary intervention and cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. His main research interest is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of stable and unstable coronary artery disease.

Professor Greenwood is the Clinical Lead for the supra-regional CMR service in Leeds, one of the UKs largest, and as an interventional cardiologist contributes to the coronary intervention service for West Yorkshire, including the regional primary PCI service.

Professor Greenwood has published over 150 papers in journals including The Lancet, Annals of Internal Medicine, Circulation, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, as well
