The Leeds Children’s (LCH) CRF is a purpose-built, age-appropriate facility supporting delivery of paediatric experimental medicine research from antenatal conditions through to adult variants of childhood diseases. The LCH CRF is co-located with the Leeds Paediatric Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) with easy access to
• Neonatal and Paediatric ICU and HDU: 24/7 specialist critical care outreach (transfer time <5 minutes).
• Clinical Trials Pharmacy: 24 hour access/pharmacy staff/aseptic suite.
- Leeds Teaching Hospitals Pathology Department: Clinical Genetics (including research),Microbiology, Cellular Pathology, Blood Transfusion Services, Blood Sciences, Digital Pathology, Genetics Lab, Specialist Laboratory Medicine (SLM), Solid Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SMDS).

• Four treatment beds and 2 en-suite single rooms.

• Laboratory Freezers: -20oC x 1 (monitored with calibrated laboratory digital thermometer)
• Laboratory Sample Fridge x 1 (monitored with calibrated laboratory digital thermometer)
- Bench Top Ambient Centrifuge: Up to 15,000 rpm (fixed and swing angle) x 1
